Introduction to Plumbing & Occupational Safety

Learners are introduced to the plumbing profession, workplace ethics, and safety standards.

This includes understanding personal protective equipment (PPE), hazard identification, and safe use of tools and materials to prevent injuries and accidents.

Understanding Plumbing Tools, Pipes, and Materials

This section covers common plumbing tools and equipment, including pipe cutters, threading machines, wrenches, and testing tools.

Learners study different pipe materials such as PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride), PPR (Polypropylene Random Copolymer), copper, and galvanized steel, including their uses and installation methods.

Water Supply Systems Installation

Learners gain practical skills in installing cold and hot water supply systems. Topics include water sources, storage tanks, pipe sizing, pressure control, valve installation, and fixture connections.

Emphasis is placed on proper alignment, jointing techniques, and leak prevention.

Drainage and Sanitation Systems

This module focuses on soil and waste systems, sewer connections, septic tanks, soak pits, and stormwater drainage.

Learners are trained to design and install drainage layouts that ensure smooth wastewater flow, prevent blockages, and meet sanitation standards.
