Understanding Beauty Tools, Products, and Equipment

Hair Care & Treatment Techniques

Training covers:
• Shampooing and conditioning

Students learn hair analysis, chemical safety, and professional product application.

Braiding, Weaving & Hair Styling

This module covers the most in-demand skills in Uganda’s beauty industry, including:

• Box braids, knotless braids, and cornrows
• Twists, loc retouching, and styling
• Weaving, wig installation, and frontal fixing
• Bridal styling, fashion styling, and children’s hairstyles

Learners practice on mannequins and real clients during supervised salon sessions.

Barbering Basics

Students are introduced to men’s grooming techniques including:

• Clipper handling
• Fades and carving
• Beard shaping
• Shaving and aftercare

This gives trainees the flexibility to work in unisex salons.

Makeup Artistry & Skincare Therapy

Learners study:
• Face shapes and skin types
• Day and evening makeup
• Bridal and photoshoot makeup
• Product selection and brush handling
• Eyebrow shaping and lash application

Skincare modules include facials, exfoliation, steaming, masks, and blackhead removal.
